Teaching and Learning

Using research and best practice as its guide, the Department of Teaching and Learning includes a cadre of strong and successful programs that support learning instruction and technology for schools, children, youth and families. Content experts offer a wide variety of professional development courses for teachers, early learning providers and parents designed to support achievement and life-long learning.

Teaching and Learning also encompasses early learning, workforce training, school programs, prevention services, school success initiatives, educational technology, STEM, research and assessment and math and science resources. The department works in partnership with schools, districts, families, communities, higher education, businesses, government and other partners to help create opportunities for educational success throughout the region.
