Introduction Workshop

Google Tools for Education

A two-day overview of the core Google Apps for Education (Drive, Documents, Spreadsheets, Draw and Presentations). This workshop will introduce Google Apps for Education products to educators, and will outline ways to organize, create and share products within the educational setting.

Integration Workshops

Using Google Drive on the iPad

A one or two-day workshop designed to introduce educators to both the Google Apps for Education core products (Drive, Documents, Spreadsheets, and Presentations) and how they can be utilized on an iPad. Participants will learn to organize and manage an iPad classroom incorporating classroom management strategies, featuring the new learning platform called Classroom that promotes the paperless classroom in an engaged learning environment.

Pre-requisites: Basic navigation of Google Drive including:
  • creating documents
  • sharing documents, and
  • collaborating within a document.
  • basic navigation of the iPad, as well.

The Chromebook Classroom

A one or two-day workshop designed to introduce educators to both the Chromebook and Google Apps for Education core products (Drive, Documents, Spreadsheets, Draw and Presentations). Participants will learn to organize and manage a Chromebook classroom incorporating classroom management strategies, featuring the new learning platform called Classroom that promotes the paperless classroom in an engaged learning environment.

Google Tools for Professional Growth and Evaluation (TPEP)

A one-day workshop designed to focus on using Google Apps for Education tools for managing artifacts that are shared as evidence of the Washington’s TPEP criterion. Participants will learn strategies for quickly collecting and sharing student data, evidence of learning and student voice, and other elements embedded in the state’s TPEP requirements. Through the integration and collaboration power of Google Forms, Spreadsheets and Drive, educators can focus on the learning instead of the collection of data.

Google Apps for Education

A five-day workshop designed to assist educators with the integration of the Google Apps for Education suite within the core curriculum. Core Google Apps (including Drive, Documents, Spreadsheets, Draw, and Presentations) will be covered, with the addition of Classroom and Sites. Participants will create a website and design lesson plans for integrating the Google Apps for Education aligned to the Common Core State Standards.

Fees for districts and organizations within ESD 112's service region

For districts in ESD 112’s service region, the contractual fees for workshops listed on this web site are charged at a rate of $950 per day for the first ten days. For more extensive contracts within the same school year, discounts are available. Please contact us for more information. Please Note: Rates effective September 1, 2017 and subject to change. Due to the extensive travel required to serve some locations, rates may vary based on actual travel expenses.

Fees for districts outside of ESD 112's service region

The contractual fees for workshops listed on this web site are charged at a rate of $1,500 per day for districts outside of ESD 112’s region, plus reimbursement for actual program travel expenses. For organizations that want consecutive days of training, the cost is $1,500 for the first two days, and then $1,350 per day after that, plus reimbursement for actual travel expenses. Workshop fees may vary, based on the degree of customization desired, your location, the number of consecutive days desired at a single location, and other pertinent factors. Please Note: Rates effective September 1, 2017 and subject to change.

To ensure a quality experience for participants, our hands-on workshops are limited to no more than 24 participants.

Clock hours are available for all workshops, and are provided by Educational Service District 112. Participants pay an additional fee for clock hours.
